Here's a little photo diary of our trips to the park in 2012...
October 20thWe visited the park today on October 20th. It was quite a cold day and the park was not very busy, however, the car boot in the car park was packed. On our trip today we found that some painting was underway! The lakeside kiosk has now been painted in a nice fresh coat of blue paint, making it stand out nicely and look less tatty. It also looks like all the games stalls in the Kiddies Cove area are going to be re-painted in this colour too as the Kiddies Cove Snack Stop was being painted the same colour as we walked past. The Mini Mine Train's queue line fence was also in the process of being painted, meaning we had to enter the ride through the exit. Both of Annabel Train's stations have also been re-painted too. As usual we enjoyed our day and took a few pictures for you to enjoy...

August and September
We visited the park a few times during August and September, but not as much as we usually do. So unfortunately we have no pictures from these two months. However, the overall summary of these two months was that most of the time it was chilly and the park wasn't as full as it had previously been, but all the staff were still carrying on and the park retained it's brilliant atmosphere nevertheless.
July 22nd and 28th (carnival party night)
We combined these two dates together as we have only a few photos.
On July 22nd, we went on loads of rides! The weather was great and we just didn't have time to take more pictures. On July 28th the park opened late from 6 - 9pm after the last ever Cleethorpes Carnival for the Carnival Party Night. People flooded towards the park and there was queues for almost every ride! Even as it turned colder, people were still having a good time, there was a brilliant atmosphere about! The last two pictures are from the Carnival Party Night! |

June 24th
June 24th was quite a wet day at the park and we didn't go on many rides or take many pictures either. Yet we still decided to go on the water ride The Falls Of Fear! Despite the weather, we still enjoyed our time at the park and enjoyed the rides that we did go on.

June 9th
When we visited the park on June 9th, the weather was not too bad. Most of the time it was sunny, but sometimes it turned dull. There was quite alot of people visiting that day and there was a nice atmosphere about. We decided to watch the Sea Lion Show and Bird Show and they have improved since last year! The bird show now has 3 new recruits, a Barn Owl called Twitter, and two other birds called Taz and Gary.

June 2nd
On our visit on June 2nd, the weather was perfect, not too hot not too cold and a bit of sun too. The park was the busiest we had seen it so far this year and it felt strange having to queue for certain rides. We also noticed some new improvements too. Alakazam now has a new, brighter and better sign, making it look much more attractive and McCormack's also has a new playground too! With the original one behind it serving as a playground for smaller kids, the new playground is a wooden play area designed for kids over 7 years old, it looks brilliant! We also took a picture of a flag outside of the park. We're not sure if this is new or if we just haven't noticed it before, it still looks great though!

May 12th and 13th
For our first visit to the park in May we visited the park on Saturday 12th and Sunday 14th of May. It was alot sunnier and warmer than our last visit and there seemed to be a fairly large amount of people at the park on the Saturday.

April 21st
It was a wet, windy and cold April and our trip on April 21st was no exception, there was rain, wind, more rain and hail stone at one point! Unfortunately for the park, not many people visited Pleasure Island on this day. But we still enjoyed our trip as always!

April 1st - Opening Day
Terrific Tinkaboo visited Pleasure Island today, the parks re-opening day. There was quite a few people there and the glorious weather helped too! All rides were operational and the atmosphere was great! The parks new leaflet also looked brilliant! There may be no new ride this year, but it seems the park have had a bit of a tidy up! The Paratrooper ride has been re-painted in the same colours (blue and red) and looks alot nicer than it used too! Also the Gravitron has a new sign around it, giving it a new lease of life and the walls surrounding the Galleon have been painted with seagulls and crabs ect, making it feel more like the seaside. Also we noticed some new signs have been put up.
